leopard gecko eye and skin

A few days ago, i noticed my gecko had her left eye closed and it seemed to be bothering her. i looked at it and noticed it seemed kind of off but thought maybe she just scratched it during shedding as she had just finished about a day before. then i noticed she stopped eating and her eye seemed to be getting worse. yesterday i noticed certain spots on her nose were turning a dark grey color and part of the skin on her eye looked like it was scabbing off. it's not the same color or consistency of her shed so i know it's not that. i'm extremely worried about her and was wondering if there are any certain illnesses that are linked to these symptoms. thank you for any help IMG_4824.jpgIMG_4824.jpg

Welcome to GU!
It looks to me as if she's going into shed and having a really piecemeal shed. If you can get the crusty stuff off around the eye, by wetting it and using your fingernail, it would probably be good and I'd expect that there will be more shedding and the stuff on the other parts of the head will start looking like a real shed pretty soon.

A warm welcome to Geckos Unlimited!

It looks like your leo might have the beginnings of mouth rot. How does the inside of the mouth look? if so, that's a problem that needs to be addressed right away!

Please let us know.

About the eye:
Take a plastic container
Poke holes in it so your leo can breathe
Place a paper towel in the bottom
Pour a little water on the towel
Spray the top and sides
Pop in the leo
Snap on the lid
Place this over your heat mat for 60 minutes or so

Hopefully that gives any stuck shed around the eye a jump start.

What type and brand calcium, D3, and multivitamins do you use?
