Oooh, what a fun idea! Here is Scooter's tank.

Scooter tank.jpg

It's currently night and I happened to catch her while she was lounging in the open. The right hide is warm, the middle one is warm/humid, and the log on the left is her cool hide.

Scooter typically sleeps in her humid hide - my theory is this is because she likes the sphagnum moss. As it's been getting warmer in my apartment (ranges from 70 to 80 degrees), she's hanging out on the cool side more. The heat emitter on the cool side is for during the winter - I turn the heat off during the day, and the temperature can drop to 65 in my apartment. The CHE is set to keep that side at least 72-75 degrees.

Scooter does sometime climb up on the hammock. She also loves lounging on top of her humid hide in the middle there.

I'm pretty happy with the set up currently - there's enough cover that she appears comfortable hanging out outside her hides, but there's still enough space for her to hunt. I occasionally try to add in a new plant or something similar just to mix it up.

Off-topic, but as of this August she will have been with me for two years! (She's currently about 4 <3)

Hello! This is a good idea and something I wish I did! Here is my girl's tank, Arcalis and Lizzie;

To maximize space since I have two geckos, I used a three level (Or four as they sometimes manage to get on the very top) hide and a hammock which they go on top of and under more often! I tend to switch up the tank once a month and they seem to do alright!

I caught Lizzie coming out of the warm side and Arcalis poking her head out to say hello! I was lucky they came out this morning!

Good luck with your tank!

I love your tank!! It is so cute and very spacious! Do you remember where you got that multi level hide? I've never seen that before!

Here is my setup, pretty basic with Eco-Earth as the subtrate, as doing a bunch of research I believe Eco-Earth is fine for Leopard Geckos. Using 3 hides for my 2 geckos, since they grew up together and have been with each other forever, they are friendly and nice with another. Using 3 hides, warm cold and moist. Little fake plant and stones as decoration

That temperature and humidity seems off, is there any gecko living in there

Yea... well I bough a dehumidifier off of amazon and it should be arrived tmr. Regardless, I think at least the basking side is fine with the temperature (which i've set the head mat to 90F) . The humidity should be fixed by tomorrow once the dehumidifier arrives. Thanks for pointing that out though.

Analog/circle thermometers/hygrometers ONLY give ballpark readings. There is no need for any dehumidifier where you live. 40-60% RH is fine for leo humidity.

Can you buy a yellow Zoo Med digital thermometers with a probe? A probe accurately measures ground temp.

What type thermostat do you have? Leos need belly heat to digest their prey.

This is Stella's tank, I built the background around the zilla moist hide and painted it to match! Ceramic Tile as substrate with zoo Med UTH stuck underneath to the tile. Plugged all crevices with silicone! Also built the enclosure!

WOW! What an awesome leo palace! Where's Stella hiding? Left back corner hide?

Does she use all the ledges? Have you ventilation on the left side too?

At that time stella was in the right side (warm hide) she just ate, lol. She actually does get on the ledges, the very top one she actually uses the bathroom on, but she likes to sit on top of all the bricks by the vents on the left side. I have the ventilation on bottom right (warm side) and top left, cold side. Since warm air rises, any warm air that comes in will mostly rise above cool side giving a nice gradient. It works well too, the temp on the cold side stays right at 75 degrees! I use an LED light on a timer so no extra heat gets added to enclosure but she gets her light cycle.

Cool idea for a thread btw!

My leo's setup is a very basic 20 gallon long. The inhabitant, Cha cha cha, is approaching 13 years old. I've had her for 11 years. She's 9 inches long. Her weight ranges between 60-70 grams.
