Leopard gecko on oral pain medication-- need tips to administer with little stress

Unfortunately, my senior gecko appears to have a tumor of the liver hampering her appetite and the prognosis is grim. The veterinarian prescribed 0.01 ml of pain medication twice daily to help calm her down on her way out. However, I really don't want the process of administering the medicine to be more stressful for her than the pain. Every time I drop it on her she shakes or rubs most of it off, and she is terrible with handling so I don't want do restrain her and drop her tail. Obviously with that small amount if she misses one drop it makes a big difference. Do you have any tips with actually getting the medicine in her mouth considering she does not eat anymore and shakes the medicine off?

Thanks for the advice.

If you can get the kind of syringe that has a narrow metal hollow tube at the end, it may be easier to push the syringe into the gecko's mouth.
