Is Luna impacted?

I recently rescued two leopard geckos who were on the brink of starvation. Sol has recovered pretty well so far, his tail is gaining weight again he no longer looks like he has toothpicks for arms. Luna however is not doing well. He has gained weight in his sides but his tail is still stick thin, he has no energy and he rarely eats or poops. I'm wondering if it looks like he might be impacted? Please be kind about his current state, he's doing much better than before and will be going to the vet tomorrow.

Hello ~

Welcome to Geckos Unlimited!

Are you housing Sol and Luna together? If so, they need to be separated for many reasons.

Luna should be tested for cryptosporidosis. It is extremely contagious.

What are the symptoms of crypto? They have been living together for about two years now from what I've been told.
I have two very young leo geckos as well, should I have them tested as well?

I have Luna moved to her own tank now, is it too late for the other geckos?
Before I took them in they hadn't been fed for two weeks and he did start to gain a little weight but he's stopped gaining weight even though sol has continued

I cleaned my tank two / three days ago and I haven't seen poop since then, which is why I'm thinking it's impaction. Their worms are disappearing but Im not seeing them eat or move much.

I don't know.

Crypto oocysts can remain dormant.

It's really difficult to know exactly what is causing what with Luna's photo. Please share a photo of Sol.

Waxworms are very poor nutrition.

Please order some Phoenix worms for them. That's BSF (black soldier fly larvae)

The photo of them both was the day that I got them, that's the best picture of sol at the moment but I'll take a better one tonight. I have also changed their substrate to shop towels.

So this was sol this morning. Update on Luna, he's gained color back in his body and he finally pooped and I think he ate as well.

Just got Luna's test results back. Both Luna and Sol are negative for crypto. Luna was impacted but is started to work it out. Yesterday I got him to eat for the first time, 4 meal worms and a wax worm. Today he ate 5 meal worms. He is very malnurished and has MBD but the vet did say he thinks he can make it. I've chosen not to have him put down for now.
