Am I feeding my Leo too much?

My adult male Leo eats about either 5-8 giant mealworms, or 5-6 large crickets each day! Is this too much? I am a little concerned because he has developed a bubble under each armpit, and I don't want him to be overweight! He eats all of the mealworms I hive him and a majority of the crickets. His tail is nice and plump too, but not thicker than his head.

Mealworms aren't good feeders if you want an athletic gecko
Feed him just crickets and roaches (dubia, turkestan, lobster) and he is gonna be fine. Plus, adults usually eat every 3 or more days. Like Aliza said, feeding every other day might be a good start.
