Hi guys I recently got two leopard geckos Jeeva and Boyly. They have been great and have seem to have adjusted pretty quick. Jeeva is a female and is the bigger one, and Boyly is smaller and a male. When I went to get them The manager of the store was telling me how to heat their enclosure with a lamp overhead, I had already done a lot of research so i knew that was obviously the wrong thing. They also told me they were females so they were in the same enclosure for about a week. Till one day i woke up and they had little scratches on them. I immediately seperated them, the scratches healed quick and the geckos were fine. It just really irritates me that the pet store lady told me the were both females, she probably didn't even check.

Well than I just wanted to introduce myself i also have a hedgehog and used to have two dwarf hamster but they recently died. 😭

Welcome to GU! I'm glad you're enjoying your geckos. When I got my first gecko, about 15 years ago, I spent quite awhile talking to the pet store guy who told me he bred leopard geckos. Then he told me that the gecko I bought was a male. I found out later it was a female! This is a good reason to buy directly from reputable breeders or specialty reptile stores.

Yes I agree about breeders being better, I live in a pretty small city so there were no Leo breeders there, I wish there were though. Im going to start breeding mealworms
now to start saving money and i hope it will go well!
