Two week leopard gecko update.

So it has been interesting my gecko Lucy has been amazing. She is so crazy pretty it’s not even funny and it hasn’t even been two weeks but I’m going to go ahead and do this early because today has been quite the interesting day for me. It started out as just a normal day and then when I got home from school I checked on my mealworm colony and then checked on Lucy. Just your typical day...
So it’s started normal just feeding her trying to get her used to my voice smell etc tame her in general which has been relatively difficult. BUT I DID IT, however at a price. I finally got her on my hand and to stay on long enough to walk on it etc and then she wasn’t moving and just curled up so I went to sit on my bed, she crawled to my shoulder and stayed there for thirty minutes and it was awesome now she lets me pick her up no tail wag or anything but then she left and I let her and she was crawling on her hid I brought over and I noticed the faint smell of you guessed it poop. However my smart self ignored it and thought I was smelling things. Anyways later when I went to put her stuff if there was a sizable pile of poop right plop in the center of my bed. Not fun.
HOWEVER If I had to let her poop on my bed againa I would because now she’s finally tame with me (obviously not entirely but I can pick her up move quickly that jazz and she doesn’t freak out)
Moral of the story, there are two.

1. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT dismiss the smell of poo no matter how faint
2. I have a tendency to forget things, I forget

Anyways I hope someone enjoys this and night all.

I'm glad things are going well with your gecko. This is a good time of year for holding them since the air is cool but your hand is warm and they like that!
