Housing My Two Females Seperate Help UVB and Enclosures

I currently have two female leopard geckos sharing one 20 gallon long tank. They have been doing this their whole life. They are about 2.5-3 years old. I’m thinking about separating them possibly in the near future. I have two questions:
1. Do they need a UVB light? I keep the tank on a metal shelf and they currently have a UVB pointing down onto the hot side of the tank. If I separate them the other tank would have to go on the lower shelf below and there would be no place to put the lamp. Is this necessary?
2. I have two 20 gallon long tanks laying around unused as they used to be the homes for my hamsters that have passed away within the last 6-8 months. Is it acceptable to use these tanks for one of my geckos? Since a hamster lived in it I was cleaning it out with a rodent safe disinfect. Is it possible to clean it now and have it be safe for my gecko even if it’s been in contact with possibly harmful cleaners in the past? How would I have to go about this?
Thanks!

1. I don't use extra lighting for any of my leopard geckos. I supplement appropriately (Repashy Calcium plus every other feeding) and they're all doing fine.

2. Clean the old 20 gallon tanks with water, then hydrogen peroxide, then vinegar. If possible, dry them and let them continue to dry outside for a few days. They should be fine then in my opinion.
