Weird belly

Hey,

anyone knows what this is? Something from hatching? He hatched about a week ago. Other hatchlings doesn't have that though.

Isn't that about where they are attached to their egg sack? Maybe it just hasn't absorbed yet or something? Almost looks like some sorta fatty tissue or something but there looks to be a vein or something running thru it?

I thought about that, but I would rather have that confirmed from someone who knows for sure.

It's very hard to see in the picture. It could very well be an attached yolk sac, in which case it will fall off soon and leave a little stump. In rare cases, the umbilical area doesn't close properly when the gecko is developing and there is an abdominal opening through which the intestines protrude. It's happened to me twice in 13 years of breeding. In this case, the gecko will not survive. I'm betting on the yolk sac. Let us know what happens.

Is that white thing I'm seeing on the outside of the gecko's belly, or the inside? Is there any way to take a picture of the gecko in your hands and not in the plastic?

It's inside the belly. Nah, he won't even let me place my hand near him, screams and bites right away. All my hatchlings are like that, this one is the second worst.

If it's inside, I have absolutely no idea what it is. I think the only thing you can do is to treat it like a normal hatchling and see what develops. If for some reason it passes away, it would be great to do a necroscopy to see what it was.
