So with large superworms finally available in my area, my big female is finally able to eat her favorite food of all time- freshly molted superworms. Every time I find one, I feed it to her because she absolutely adores these things. I once did an experiment where I put a freshly molted superworm and a waxworm next to each other in front of her, and despite the fact that both were moving around a lot, she went straight for the superworm.
That got me wondering what the favorite food of other geckos are! I’d appreciate if waxworms aren’t given as an answer cause they obviously are the favorite food of a lot of geckos, but I was wondering what your guys’ leopard gecko’s favorite food is.
Mine are as followed.
Firefly (big tangerine female): Freshly molted superworms
Illusion (wild type male): Male crickets
Pearl (four month old RAPTOR): Crickets with holes in them so the guts are leaking out
Angel (sub adult wild type male): Freshly formed, squishy superworm pupa
Clementine (little tangerine who just showed back up): Large crickets
Luna (tangerine female): Cricket bodies. Not heads- she actually decapitates the crickets
