Heat mat won't stick

Hi! Yesterday I set up my new Zilla heat mat. I stuck it on and pressed it down as said, but after a while some of the adhesive would no longer stick. It hasn't fallen completely off yet, but I dont want it to. Is there anything I can do to help it stick?

I’ve been having the same issue. I really don’t want to go out and buy another since this one works fine. I’ve stuck a flat rock under mine to keep it up but I feel like the rock is absorbing all of the heat. If I figure anything out I’ll be sure to tell you I might just have to go buy a new one

I suggest returning the defective heat mat and getting a new one. There is no reason why one should have to "repair" a new heat mat.

If you do use tape, the electrical tape will fail eventually but the foil tape ("Nashua tape") is great! I agree that you should return the heat mat if possible.

Agreed on returning it. Make sure the surface under the tank that you stick it to has been thoroughly cleaned and is dry.
