My leo is in really rough shape and I'm in desperate need of help.

My leo has had trouble shedding the skin off his eyes, and nothing I've done has fixed it. Because of this, he's almost completely stopped eating, and now his tail is thinner than a pencil and I'm worried he doesn't have much time left. i've tried everything. I brought him to a vet, I've given him the eyedrops the vet gave me, I've tried hand feeding him, I've tried dabbing a mixture of crushed mealworms on his nose to try to get him to eat that way, I've tried hand-feeding him but he just drops whatever mealworms I try to put in his mouth, and nothing has worked. I'm so afraid, and I will never forgive myself for letting him reach this point. Is there anything I can do to save him? If there's anything I can do, no matter how expensive, no matter how time-consuming, no matter how difficult, please let me know as soon as you possibly can. I am more terrified than you will ever know.

Have you tried “soaking” the gecko in wet paper towels?
Once moistened, you should be able to remove the old skin with a wet paper towel.

You mention your leo is extremely emaciated. Have you had this leo checked for cryptosporidiosis?

Try gently flushing your leo's eyes with a normal saline solution several times per day.

Which multivitamins are you using for your leo? How often? Does it contain vitamin A acetate (retinol). A small amount of retinol lightly dusted on all the feeders @ 1 feeding per week keeps eyes & skin healthy. Which calcium with D3? How often?

I highly recommend ordering the large OMEM terra cotta hide for the warm end from Amazon. My 16.5 yo leo loves her OMEM hide. I keep it on the warm end right next to her warm dry hide.

Remember also that gentle rubbing of the stuck shed will likely not get it off the eyes. It really requires tweezers or fingernails to get it off.
