What are the dimensions of your 30 gallon tank? It is recommended to keep leos by themselves in 30 x 12.5 x 12.5 inch tanks.

Be careful: Did you buy a kit? If so, you may want to return it. Much of the stuff a desert kit contains for leos is either useless or outright harmful.
