Dubia Roaches Food

Looking for food as recommended by my Vet to feed to Dubia roaches.

Firstly...my vet does not recommend dusting...His feedback on dusting is that it is too inaccurate...Too much or too little. He has suggested using T-Rex cricket calcium gut loading pellets. I'm not able to find it unfortunately. I checked Amazon and T-Rex directly. Amaon does not carry it and T-Rex is out of stock.

Any sources for this product that folks are aware of?

How soon Is T-Rex planning to get their 'T-Rex Food for Crickets -- Calcium Plus' back in stock?
I'm wondering whether T-Rex is no longer in business.
The phone number listed on T-Rex's website (1-800-991-8739) takes one to America's Hottest Talkline & other off-topic numbers :( !

As of 15 March 2025 T-Rex's current contacts & phone number:

I emailed T-Rex early this morning at: info @t-rexproducts.com & cc'd them at sales @t-rexproducts.com
I realize it's the weekend, but so far t-rex has not replied.

I finally sent 2 separate replies to your earlier thread Sunday March 9 & Monday March 10.
Have you seen those replies regarding Repashy's Bug Burger Insect Diet (a gel premix)?

IF T-Rex is truly no longer in business, I'm not sure why Queso's vet would NOT have known that.

Please let me know whether my messages are reaching you when I send them!

Yes, received your message. Wold like to exhaust the vet recommendation before I look at alternatives. THANKS!

On the vet Q....Woul don't necessarily expect a vet to know if someone went out of business.

Here's the reply I just received from T-Rex's David:

"Hi Liz

Sorry but unfortunately the Cricket food you are asking about is not available at this time. We will have it back in a few months. One of the ingredients has gone way up in price which would make the food very expensive.

Here’s a link to our site for the Cricket Food we do have available that many people have started buying instead of the other one. This one is a powder instead of a pellet……

Perfect. I will take a look at that...It is listed as a powder. Is it to be added to other roach food, dusted before feeding to Queso or put into the Dubai Keeper for them to eat?

Edit on 21 March 2025: T-Rex Cricket Diet Dust Super Food is listed as a GUT-LOADing diet by it's supplier, T-Rex. I don't recommend using that as a 24/7/365 day food for your bugs or worms! Instead use Repashy's Bug Burger Insect Diet (a gel premix) for feeding crickets, roaches, & other insects.
A couple times per week add a jar lid of sliced carrots to give roaches moisture & beta carotene (pro-vitamin A)

In my mind, lightly dusting bugs or worms immediately prior to feeding them off to Queso with Zoo Med supplements is completely different & necessary.
Please refer to your ongoing thread.
I shared how to use Zoo Med's supplements on Queso's bi-weekly meals right there. <3
