Yes, females are "huge". And they also seem to grow faster than males (which are more colorful though).
At one time all the young ones were the same size, a short time later all females were more than twice as big as males.
I was kind of already wondering why my vieillardi males aren't growing at all, when suddenly one had a grow spurt and grew nicely like females did some months ago.
(They are still almost twice the male size.)
I think my second, smaller male just started gaining in size as well.
Females were kept singly. They have already laid some infertile eggs this summer, but they still seemed a bit too small to breed. Males were even smaller.
At the end of summer, when one male suddenly got bigger, I decided to put him with the females and I think I have two good eggs incubating at the moment. We'll see.
