Hi there,

They are approaching 2 - 2.5 years old. I only bought them last week of a guy who raised them from when they where very young. They are unrelated though he said :). He also told me the female laid around 7 times last summer/early spring and he thinks shes due to lay her first clutch of this season soon judging by her plumpness. He had never incubated the eggs as he hasn't the time so wanted to sell them to someone who does. I couldn't believe it when i found them because i was struggling to find a female (i try to get a female first of any new species i get) then along came the two!

I will get some pics up of them during the day as the difference is incredible :).

Any tips on the breeding side of things then? Ive done a fair bit of reading there are grey areas and some minor contradictions between authors.

I'll get back to you when I have more time RE the breeding side of things. Feel free to drop me a PM if you have any questions. With gargoyles its the males that are rarer than the females (totally the opposite to cresties), so you were lucky to get a male!

OK cheers :). I must admit i hardly saw any at all for sale before these.Just 1 male an 3 females, the females where a job lot and very pricey. The male was a stunner and not to expensive.

One quick question that im finding hard to answerer myself... what is the maximum amount of females that can be housed with on male? Providing there is a lot of space, hides etc
