Ok im wanting to breed my 2 geckos. First. If i house them togethor all the time will it affect their breeding? Second. Is there anyway i can help induce breeding?

Housing all the time won't affect breeding, but you will need to cool the female to get fertile eggs.

Not true. Cool downs do not effect their fertility. Cool downs are simply to imitate the natural cool down that takes place prior to the breeding season to make the female ovulate. Many of my females ovulate without being cooled first and lay fertile eggs.

I have found anecdotally that sometimes pairs that are together all the time aren't as eager to breed. That's not scientific evidence, though. My fat tails are together all the time and breed just fine. I do keep my leopard gecko groups together for most of the year and have no problems for the most part with either stress or dominance.

Right alee,
Before I began cooling I'd get a clutch of fertile, and 5 non fertile, I'd have 1 girl lag and not do anything, and then start laying slugs. I started cooling to put everyone on the same schedule. Laying is already stressful but to lay slugs was just a waste
Of energy for them. Since I've begun cooling not only do I have on time babies, but I only get let's say 1 clutch of slugs per female and that's the end of the season. Cooling also gives them a start and stop period. I want to make sure my girls don't get too tired. I guess it all depends where you are, your setup, and what your breeding plans are. I'm sure everyone does something different and alot of things work.

If you have a way to guarantee that the temperatures will stay steady within a 2 degree range you can make your own incubator. It may be useful to check online to see how other people have made their own.

u can get a hova bator for like 45$ shipped, comes with a temp control so u can just do what i did and plug it in where its gonna stay with the temp, left my digital thermometer in there for 48 hrs and checked the temp to see min/max and make sure it was constant

well if u think about it, a thermostat, even a cheaper one that actually adjusts temp is about 26$, a heat pad, 10-15$ so u might as well just buy a hova bator, thats why i did it, plus we have been having crazy weather 50 one day 75 two day later, and i work a lot so i want to have something that can control it self

I had a lot of the same questions, and went out and bought 'The Herpetoculture of Leopard Geckos' by Ron Tremper. It was SO helpful! It'll answer all your questions and there's lots of pics of different morphs too :)
