Two Lygodactylus willialimsi hatched, one yesterday and one today, with 22 hours of each other.

The color is remarkably bright. #1 hatched 55 days and #2 56 days after egg was laid. For me this is the shortest period from laying to hatching. My females took longer to hatch.

Since the eggs were laid high up in the enclosure and temperatures were mostly around 84º F. I am predicting that these will be males. I will be very surprised if they are not.

I must have Gecko ESP as I went down to check on the eggs within 2 minutes of both hatching.

The picture of the one next next to the egg was taken just as it was pulling tail from the egg.

What I have noticed lately with mine is that the babies which hatch out more on the bluish side often end up as females.

I will try keeping a picture record of the babies to see if this is a viable observation.

I've already photographed the chins to see how that changes over time if at all.

Thanks, Mareen.
