quick question

Hey all, i was wondering what anyone thought of how to prove out the albino strain in what i think is a blazzing blizzard tremper. I only say tremper because that albino strain is what i see in the pet stores i got this gecko from. Should i just grt another blazzing blizzard tremper and see if the all the babies hatch out as that or is there a more definitive way of proving out the albino? I really dont want to cross albinos strains xD also a quick question i have about my gecko is its sex. I checked him/her at 6 inches and he/she had pronouced femoral pores, but i looked again last night for whatever reason and i see the pores faintly and no two bulges like i do on my high yellow or Murphy's patternless. I have also seen people state that a gecko is female with very pronouced femoral pores, why is that? Ill attach a few pictures that are the best and please let me know. If he is a girl i will be so happy :D

On the one hand, it looks female to me, however, having spent lots of time staring at all my juvie hatchlings' bottoms, I can no longer say definitively. The only thing that's worked for me is to look with the equivalent of a jeweler's loupe at the pores. If there are "holes" it's a male and if there are just "depressions" it's a female.

You could prove out the tremper albino by breeding with another tremper albino. The one you breed it to doesn't have to be a blazing blizzard, just a tremper albino. There is a risk in producing double albino hets if it's not a tremper. Also, if it's not a tremper you still won't know whether it's not an albino at all, or just not a tremper albino.
Much as I hate to say it, this is one reason why it's best not to breed geckos whose genetics you don't know, which is the case with most pet store geckos (I say "most" because I recently shipped a bunch of geckos to a pet store and provided complete genetic information).
Good luck with it.

Im fairly confident she has albino genes because of ber eyes and the sensitivity of her eyes. They are pure black with red pupils but i know what you mean. I always kick myself in the butt for my impluse buys. I was just wondering how do i know i proved out she is tremper. If i had for example a mack snow het tremper, it would prove out if there are tremper babies or would i have to wait generations or could i tell with her first clutch? I asked about her morph earlier on thee forums xD

You would get Tremper babies (statistically at least) in the first generation. THe reason I recommended Tremper rather than het Tremper is that you will get 100% Trempers if both are actual Trempers and you'll know right away. If you do the pairing with the het and only 3-4 babies are produced, all non-albino, then you don't have a big enough sample to know for sure whether or not the Tremper is proven out.
