Sexually maturing?

Good Maiyer is getting treated and that you separated him and Emma.

Maiyer can use 3 hides too. :)

1. Homemade Humid Hide recommended by GU's Conched (Matt)
(check on my Leo Caresheet for pictures from Matt)

1. I use 45 oz Country Crock containers; the 16 oz are too small. The lid has a 6 inch diameter. The 45 oz size allows a fully grown Leo to fit inside comfortably.
2. Cut an entry hole about 2.5 inches above the container's base.
3. Add 2 inches of sphagnum moss to that hide.
4. Keep moss or paper towels damp 24/7.
5. Use the lid of the container as the ceiling.
6. Locate the moist hide on the warm end of the enclosure.
7. Warm moist hides 24/7 help leopard geckos stay hydrated so that they shed completely by themselves. Even when not shedding you will find your leo inside.

2. Take another plastic tub (butter tub, whatever) NOT CLEAR and make him a cool DRY hide too.

Thank you for the humid hide suggestion :)

I tried to find a container to use, but they are all the small! He is the length of a dollar bill! Lol.
Any suggestions on what to use for his size?
It's only 10 gallons, so I don't know how I am going to be able to fit anything else in there /: it's only temporary until I know both are healthy and parasite free.

You're welcome.

Use a smaller tub and adjust those directions. Best for the entry to be somewhat off the ground. Use the lid as the ceiling. If you don't have empty tubs from butter or whatever, you might buy some Gladware tubs to convert.

The purpose of that size is to hold enough moss so that when you wet the moss it will not dry out so quickly!

There might not be enough room for the log tunnel. That's one of the problems with a 10 gallon. However, DON'T put them back together till the pinworms are gone.

I want to do that so much Elizabeth, but my parents said he is fine, and won't buy me another enclosure, or anything in that matter :( so I tried to do the best I can for him with what I have.

Emma is eating, and pooping regularly, so that's good. :)

Edgar is on day two of not eating but has gained a gram. Go figure. He's more worried about having zoomie time and wiggling all over everything than eating LOL!

Maiyer pooped out an actual brown feces :) it's still messy, but it's an improvement.

I also can't believe how easier it is to clean with paper towels o_o

Since pinworms are contagious I've been wondering whether you gave Emma's cage a thorough 10% bleach solution clean after you removed Maiyer for pinworm treatment?

Yup. Disinfected it through and through! :)

I'm afraid though she may already have it since they were together for 6 weeks.

Alright so Maiyer has had no more diarrhea :D

I put a food dish in his tank so in case he wants to eat, he can. He takes insterest in superworms, but doesn't actually eat them. Do you think he may just not be ready to eat yet?
I also understand he probably won't eat until after treatment...

Usually when a gecko has pinworms he/she will not eat until the pinworms are gone like you suggested.I also heard that pinworms are not tough parasites to get rid of.(correct me if I'm wrong please) So I'm sure your gecko will eat in no time. :)

Edgar regurgitated again this morning. The thermostat was reading 89 but was heating. He waited about 3 minutes and went over in his poop corner and up it came. I'm able to rule out overeating this time, now it's either parasites still or temps are not right for him. I set the thermostat back to 93. Will talk to Dan tonight about taking him in on Monday. So frustrating!

My vet said I have to go back in another 2 weeks for dewormer. And then do it again one more time. Maybe Edgar has to do the same?
Although I don't know if the regurtating was from the parasites, because Maiyer doesn't do it...

But here's the thing- he's already been thru pinworm treatment. He was given Pancur at the office and then I had a second dose I took home that I gave to him a day early (13 days after first dose) but that wouldn't have made it ineffective. He needs to go to the actual reptile vet so he can check for everything. The vet I took him to about 15 mins from my house could do fecals but had to consult a friend of his that does treat reptiles but I still don't think it's the same.

Oh ok yea I took Maiyer to an actual herp vet.
For the dewormer, they put a metal tube down his throat, and injected him with the meds. Did they do that with Edgar?

Nooo. They had a needleless stringe and I held him and we dripped it on his lips until it was gone. I called the vet and got him an appointment at 9:30am on Friday the 8th. He's only there MWF and I still had to switch my hours around at work. That will give me some time to see if the increased temps are helping. Hoping he poops that morning.

BTW, hmarie186, have you another thermometer to verify the thermostat's setting?

Yep, the readings are spot on with each other. The problem is that when I have the thermostat set to 92, it gets down to 88-89F. When I set it to 93, if the house gets a bit warm it can reach 94F. He's been doing perfect with it at 93 but when summer came and the house got around 80, the temps spiked, so I turned it down a degree. Since then it's been a guessing game. I even moved his tank so it wasn't in line with the air from the AC unit (we have a wall unit as our house is only 900 sqft and a pretty open floorplan). It seemed to steady the temps now that he's on the other side of the half wall. Now the weather is cooling off, the tank is getting cooler again with the thermostat at 92, and thats when the regurgitation started happening. Now I've bumped it back up to 93.
