Female Leopard gecko not eating

Hi i read the forum about your gecko not eating and im pretty sure i know the reason but id like to hear experts opinions as well. My female leopard gecko is a year and a half old has never gone more than two days without eating, and she hasnt eaten now in 9 days, shes active, not losing weight, so im not overly concerned. When i offer food she sees it then ignores it. A few important things id like to note is she isnt excreting much, but she also hasnt ate in 9 days, so im not sure if shes impacted, however i did bathe her yesterday in warm water to see if itd help. As well the last time she ate i fed her my remaining mealworms as she has eaten her entire life, and a superworm because thats all my local pet store had in stock, im not concerned about her denying mealworms either because she wont eat superworms as well currently. I think it just has to do with breeding season. As well id like to state for possible impaction is must be eating impaction because she has paper towel as substrate. Just let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Hi ~

Please share a photo of your leo.

By the time a leo reaches 18 months old, even without ovulation, it's usual for that leo to eat 2x per week with a schedule like this one.

Weekly Schedule 126 for Leopard Geckos 18 months old +
(without UVB)

  • Crickets or dubia >> Monday - lightly dusted with Zoo Med's Repti Calcium with D3
  • Crickets or dubia >> Thursday - lightly dusted with Zoo Med's ReptiVite multivitamins without D3
  • [Mealworms >> Saturday - no dusting]

image.jpgIm sorry if you misunderstood what i was saying, or i misunderstood what you have said but typically she dosent eat only twice per week, but rather evey 2-3 days. The only thing i said involving her eating schedule was that she hasnt ate in 9 days. As well usually her eating schedule is two days of calcium without d3, a day of calcium with d3, and a day of multivitamins, and that cycle repeats. Nonetheless here are a few pictures of her currently.

She looks great. I don't find it unusual for geckos to go through periods of not eating much, often, in the case of females, due to ovulation. Just keep offering and try not to worry unless her weight goes down a lot or she begins to behave very differently.
