Hi!

Ive come back to update you on psycho and her FLD, well so far so good i think,

she has dropped a tiny bit of weight from the FLD fatty stores in her abdomen, but not much. Shes adjusted well to the 4 crickets ever two days, and seems to poop every day that she doesnt get food now! She loves being handled even more now and loves to romp in her roaming pen.

So am I doing this right? (When i say she lost weight its just a small amount, barely noticeable.)

Can I see a picture? =D

I think she's doing well. She seems well adjusted to the schedule!

adding this so others won't freak out:
When you're dealing with FLD, you can't give them what they want to eat, their diet needs to be strict. 4 crickets may seem like nothing, but for FLD, it's enough. Any more can cause severe obesity shortening their life span. FLD makes them gain weight a lot more quickly, in the unhealthy way.

I'm 18, just moved out on my own with my fiance. You get what life dished out to you. I wanted a leopard gecko, and I got one. I just happened to get one with FLD. She got lucky having a dedicated mommy who did all her homework on it and takes her to the vet every two week for a check up.

She's clearly made a difference, 5g for a gecko is like 15 pounds for us.

She should be a LITTLE bit skinnier, but if she's slowly losing weight, then I'd stick to the diet and wait a month for changes to see if she's gone down a couple more grams.

She's looking GREAT! =D

So you think she looks thinner too? Sometimes the fat thingys move around to bulge out the side a bit more, its odd really, when she lays down it pushes it out.

How much weight do you thing she lost?

Maybe 5g or so.

Fat is like... a floating mass in leos. It attaches one small thread to an organ and the rest grows out.

Just keep working with her, if you don't want to lessen her diet, exercise her more. When you see her sitting still, put your hand near her and try to get her to run from you.

I know she needs alot of exersize, I cant really cut her diet anymore, 4 crickets every two days, and 2-3 mealworms as a treat, maybe once a week.

She didnt get much exersize this week cause i was in Winnipeg with my dad and my mom was looking after her even though my mom has pneumonia right now and is on Anti biotics.

That's because she's on a schedule and she's getting the RIGHT amount of food she needs.

Boy aren't you glad you posted on this forum. ;]
