Wonderful job rehabbing Betty, Saskia! Kudos to you!!!
Welllll, that's a funny story! I went to Atlanta on a business/turism trip 2 months ago and I went to a Petco store to shop for some supplies for my other geckos (heat pads, vitamins, etc. that in my country are a bit hard to find) anyways, I was staring at the leos for sale (I didn't intend to buy one) and a salesgirl saw me and asked if I was interested in meeting one gecko they had for adoption :yikes: I said yes and she introduced me to Betty (she was "in the back") I was so sad to see her in such poor condition that I couldn't resist it, and I took her back to my hotel, she was there with me for 2 days, and the day of the trip I put her in a sock, bended it so she couldn't go out and placed her gently in my bra!
As soon as I was passed secutiry I put her back in my purse, and when we arrived to Miami I put her back in my bra... another security checkpoint and another plane to Venezuela, when I left the venezuelan airport the first thing I did was to check her and she was just perfect! I had never done this kind of thing before and I was quite nervous, I had my adoption papers with me in case they would find her they could just take her back, but it didn't happen and she lives in south america now!!! I bet the previous owner wouldn't imagine where she was going to end up in!!
