Welllll, that's a funny story! I went to Atlanta on a business/turism trip 2 months ago and I went to a Petco store to shop for some supplies for my other geckos (heat pads, vitamins, etc. that in my country are a bit hard to find) anyways, I was staring at the leos for sale (I didn't intend to buy one) and a salesgirl saw me and asked if I was interested in meeting one gecko they had for adoption :yikes: I said yes and she introduced me to Betty (she was "in the back") I was so sad to see her in such poor condition that I couldn't resist it, and I took her back to my hotel, she was there with me for 2 days, and the day of the trip I put her in a sock, bended it so she couldn't go out and placed her gently in my bra!

As soon as I was passed secutiry I put her back in my purse, and when we arrived to Miami I put her back in my bra... another security checkpoint and another plane to Venezuela, when I left the venezuelan airport the first thing I did was to check her and she was just perfect! I had never done this kind of thing before and I was quite nervous, I had my adoption papers with me in case they would find her they could just take her back, but it didn't happen and she lives in south america now!!! I bet the previous owner wouldn't imagine where she was going to end up in!!

That is such an awesome story! What a lucky little gecko. Thank goodness the Petco employee showed you the one from "the back". She is beautiful! Good job!!!:yahoo:

I remembered this thread and wanted to share a picture of Betty from yesterday... it´s incredible that she has been with me for almost 4 years now! I have never bred her, she lives alone now, and has never had a health issue since being with me... hope you like her!! I have enjoyed her for sure, it is funny she has a dewlap!

I really like her, I do not keep her for breeding purposes, just as a pet, and she is very very sweet, I have no idea how old she is, she has been with me for 4 years, and she was already an adult, I hope se lives for many more years!
