horch22: Noticed your post on the Shout BOX re: [06:06 PM] "I have a leopard gecko - about 2 years old - who has eyes which are closing, and is refusing to eat - even hand fed. The cage has a good day and night light, lots of sand, and the tail is getting smaller. Any ideas? I'm giving power/vitamin/calcium powde"

Please don't give up. Post a new thread on the Leo forum. Help is available. Just about as soon as you post someone will probably answer.

Send me a VM if you need help finding that subforum.
EC ~ Maybe you could help me out. You know the Shout BOX feature here? Any idea on how one scrolls down to view more than 6 or so posts, so that I could view say all the posts for that day or maybe the last 24 hours. Can't seem to find it.
Hello, Actually I do have a few available but sometimes the updates do not publish correctly to the site.

What projects? Ummm. I have 150 pairs in the works so this is not a simple answer. Breeding more Super Reds and various Patternless. Raising up possible hets so we can start line breeding in an attempt to start proving out the Pied's, Calico's, Granite's, Albino's and everything else that no one has ever established in domestic breeding of Tokay to date. (I added a couple of pages to the site describing some of this.)

All of our projects will take several more years so really, we're working on a lot more of the same. We've added a few Aberrant Green pairs and are working to build a base of Malaysian blue type normals and reducing the number of Indonesian gray normals.

Please email me instead of using this part of the GU site. I do not get notices when something is posted here. michael@billewicz.com works for me, thanks.
I'm new to Geckos Unlimited and very interested on learning new information on Crested Gecko. I have been breeding crested geckos for 2 years and love having them as pets!
Sorry about that, Tylor. Hate runarounds. This is one of the preferred supplement scenarios: Zoo Med's Reptivite with D3/vitamin A acetate lightly dusted 2x per week, OR, Reptivite with D3/A actetate lightly dusted 1x per week and Zoo Med's calcium with D3 dusted 1x per week. Key is to use a D3 containing supplement no more than 2x per week.

In the caresheet you will find another scenario using Miner-All Indoor. Way too much to copy here.

Hope that helps :)
I have not ordered Gryllodes sigillatus. Ghann's was the first place I saw them for sale. Do not know of other sources.
Tylor ~

Your ? was re Osteoform and Vionate? I'm pretty sure I replied on one of your threads. Please check that out first, OK?
Well there you go! Mistery solved, my tanks measure 30x16x7 inches (7 inches tall), so they are only 14 gallons of capacity but have enough floor space and length to achieve temp gradient because the difference in capacity lays on the height, I use shorter tanks with web lids because they can not climb, and I believe they do not take advantage of height in the tanks (unless one uses decor which I don´t)!! Thanks I was really concerned about not providing them enough space and the AFT subforum got me thinking
Saskia ~ For me for leos it is the length of the tank which makes it easy to achieve a thermal gradient. Never saying it is the only way. Too many inquiries to post ALL the ways. A 20 gallon LONG (30 length x 12.5 width x 12.5 heighth in inches) also gives leos more floor space to play. ;-)

Does that make 375 sq inches of floor space?

What is the recommended gradient for AFTs?
One list for reptiles the other lists every other species and I have heard of a few people using it. TBH I get a head ache from everyone's own opinion on which to use. I have a well mixed gutload I am using and I keep pure calcium in my cages at all time. What supplements do you suggest I use for me leo's?I try to order everything in bulk too
Thanks for asking, Jon :D. Happy to have you among my GU friends. Hope that through posting and such we will get to know each other better. However, seriously am questioning whether I am up for Shoutbox.
